Leonard Swindley, suffering from a terrible cold, goes along to investigate the psychic powers of Mr. Willow, the medium. Swindley remains sceptical during Willow's trance, but when he returns home from the seance, it becomes more and more apparent that Willow has conjured up a very unexpected visitor indeed.
