Seven years after his death at the age of 62, family, friends and collegues of Les Dawson recall his life and career in the series celebrating notable British comedy figures. Like many of his contemporaries, Dawson yearned to be taken seriously and spent much of his youth in Paris where he attempted to carve out a career as a writer, But it is for his mother-in-law monologues that he is best remembered.
