The hit 1990s police comedy The Detectives is being released this Autumn in a single, complete DVD box set for the first time, and we have 3 copies to give away.

Jasper Carrott and Robert Powell lead as the fabulously bungling, incompetent Metropolitan Police detectives Dave Briggs and Bob Louis, who somehow manage to get the crooks every time - after many mishaps along the way.

Running for 31 episodes over 5 series, the series - which ran from 1993 to 1997 - co-starred George Sewell as their long-suffering boss, Superintendent Cottam, with Tony Selby and Mark Steel amongst their colleagues.

A sparkling array of guest actors throughout the series ranges from Barry Cryer to Jerry Hall, Hugh Dennis to Herbert Lom, and Rula Lenska to Bill Oddie - plus many, many more. There's even a chance to catch John Nettles back in action as Bergerac.

Having spun off from the 1990 - 1992 sketch show Canned Carrott and written by Steve Knight and Mike Whitehill, the new Complete Collection comprises of 6 discs, running to a stonking 900 minutes of delightful hilarity.

The Detectives - The Complete Collection is released on Monday 15th October 2018 by the BBC, RRP £39.99.
