Sky Max will air one-off comedy show special Sports Funniest 2023 With Greg James this December.

The producers explain: "This one-off special will see host Greg James joined by sport loving comedian sidekicks including Maisie Adam and Guz Khan as they look back at the biggest, funniest, and most ridiculous stories from the world of sport in 2023.

"From Man City's wild title celebrations to the funniest Martin Brundle F1 interviews, viewers will be bowled over by hilarious monologues, clips, and chats, with surprise guests from comedy, sport and entertainment appearing along the way."

The episode is set to be recorded in front of a studio audience on Monday 11th December at Pinewood Studios. Free tickets

Greg James comments: "As a lover of sport and funny things, this show couldn't be any more up my street. It's been another unbeatable year of sporting achievements and in amongst it there have been plenty of ridiculous moments too. We can't wait to celebrate it all."

Phil Edgar-Jones, who commissioned the show, says: "At Sky Max we take our sport very seriously of course. So seriously that we missed all the funny moments that happened during 2023. So thank goodness for Greg James and the team who are bringing us all the sporting laughs in one glorious place and sending us into the New Year on a belly laugh."

The 90 minute special is being made by CPL Productions, the company behind Sky's hit sports-based panel show A League Of Their Own.

The broadcast date and time will be announced in December.
