On I Suppose You Think That's Funny, Jimmy Tarbuck, joined by Jim Bowen and Tim Brooke Taylor, trounced the opposing team of young and hip comedians, John Culshaw, Simon Greenall and Brenda Gilhooly (well, young and hip by ITV standards). The two generations turned out to share exactly the same sense of humour, that is to say a crude one (eg "I'm a Virgo with Penis Rising"). Which is not necessarily to say I do not. Against all odds, I Suppose You Think That's Funny was funny, although 9pm seemed an even funnier time to catch it.

Andrew Billen, Evening Standard, 8th December 1998
