Henry Willows was divorced seven years ago when his wife took up with another man, and apart from the daily visits of his cleaning lady he has grown used to living alone. The sudden arrival of 17-year-old Matthew, one of his three long-estranged children, disturbs the quiet, orderly running of the home.
