Hardware follows the lives of Mike, Kenny, Steve and Rex who work in the small London tool shop Hamway's Hardware Store.

The staff talk about their lives, have laddish chats, do little work and sneer at any any customers who are unfortunately enough to reveal they are not DIY professionals. When not "working" the four relax at the nearby cafe called Nice Day where Anne and her friend Julie work.
