The Roaring Twenties follows the lives of Paul, who lives on the cusp of a nervous breakdown, Jess - the hippy handy-woman and AJ, a womanising booze hound all trying to run a backpacker's hostel. It's a sitcom about where you should be in your twenties and where you actually are. With new exotic guests each week, a building on the edge of collapse and penny pinching to the extreme the show shines a light on friends playing at running a business while playing at being adults.

Mike Arber
Mike studied creative writing both at undergraduate and masters levels at University. He was selected through a BBC scheme to write for Eastenders: E20, an online spinoff of the soap in 2012. After having a set tour and feedback from the writers on his work that stated: "We're not writing a sitcom here", that's exactly what he realised he loved doing. Mike is now fully committed to writing sitcom scripts and has loved every minute of The Sitcom Mission 2017 process, especially making it to the final.
