Rosie Jones gets three further books
- Rosie Jones will publish three further children's books across the next 18 months
- A third Edie Eckhart novel is set for publication in August 2023, and a fourth next year
- February 2024 will see the release of a non-fiction "school survival guide", Moving On Up
Stand-up comic Rosie Jones is to publish three further children's books with Hodder.
A third installment in her Edie Eckhart series of comic novels will be released this August, following 2021's acclaimed The Amazing Edie Eckhart and 2022's The Amazing Edie Eckhart: The Big Trip.
The books follow a young girl during her first years at secondary school. Like Jones, the eponymous Eckhart has cerebral palsy and is learning to navigate a much more adult world with her disability.
A fourth Edie Eckhart adventure will follow in August 2024. Exact publication dates and titles have yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, next February will see the publication of Rosie Jones's first non-fiction work.
Moving On Up is subtitled "Beat the bullies, make fearless friendships and deal with funny fails", and the publishers promise the "ultimate school survival guide for 9 to 11-year-olds".
They explain: "No one knows quite as much about friendship fails, facing bullies, and being totally embarrassed than comedian Rosie Jones. You name a completely awkward situation, and she's been there, got the t-shirt, and probably done it all again. Rosie knows exactly how you can care less about the things that get you down, and more about the things you care about.
