A lick of blood from his colleague Mike sets John on a mission to prove the existence of Vampires. John arranges to meet an warm-blooded expert on the cold-blooded at a popular Cardiff graveyard. Folklore expert Dr Juliette Wood blows his mind with tales of undead revenants and John drags the Unexplainers back onto the road towards the village of Marford near Wrexham.

The village greets the team with its strange architecture and an even stranger tale of a vampire bride who taps obsessively on upstairs windows. Feeling a strong presence of blood-suckers, The Unexplainers spend the night in an ancient local pub in an attempt to provoke any resident vampire entities. The only problem is that the duo somehow end up getting accidentally married to each other.
