The Genuine Particle trivia
The producer of The Genuine Particle, David Tyler, did a degree in Quantum Physics at Cambridge. He then almost did a PhD at the DESY Accelerator in Hamburg, but moved away from physics and into the world of comedy.
This sitcom is based on some real research by Russian mathematicians Irina Aref'eva and Igor Volovich who claim that the Large Hadron Collider might create tiny 'wormholes' in space which could allow some form of limited time travel.
