Comic Fringes presents short stories written and read by leading comedians. The episodes are recorded in front of a live audience at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
The first four series tended to feature established stories being read out by actors.
The show took a break after Series 4. When it returned in 2009, the format was changed to focus on well known stand-up comedians reading out their own stories written specifically for the programme.
