Baby Cow appoints Sarah Monteith as first MD

Baby Cow Productions, the company co-founded by Steve Coogan, has announced the appointment of its first Managing Director.

Sarah Monteith will take up the role of MD in mid-May, joining from parent company BBC Studios.

The BBC's commercial arm has been the majority owner of Baby Cow since 2016, and a significant shareholder since 2008.

Recently interim Chief Marketing Officer for BBC Studios, Monteith will run the production house alongside Christine Langan as CEO. Langan was the head of BBC Films until moving to Baby Cow in late 2016.
