Amused Moose New Comic Award 2019 open for entries

Amused Moose Laugh Off

Amused Moose Comedy's National New Comic Award is now open for entries, for its 2019 heats.

This competition, which used to be called the Amused Moose Laugh Off, aims to find future stand-up stars. Previous winners of the competition include Sarah Millican, Jack Whitehall and Rob Beckett, with other finalists including Josh Widdicombe, Romesh Ranganathan, Jimmy Carr, Katherine Ryan, Kevin Bridges and Greg Davies.

Hundreds of entries from across the UK and Ireland are expected from "newish" comedians and comedy performers.

To enter, you need to submit a clip of yourself performing stand-up or sketches onstage. The entry form closes mid-January 2019.

The videos entered will be viewed online and sifted by industry panellists, with the highest scoring 80 invited to perform at live heats on Saturdays and Sundays in February and March. Hosted by Mark Dolan, these will take place at the Amused Moose SohoHo! venue in central London. The final will take place during the Edinburgh Fringe in August.
