Back to basics: preparing a script

We've all heard the horror stories. Sitcom scripts arriving from "new writers", 5 pages long and written in crayon. Unsolicited sketches that are not so much pieces of writing as meaningless jumbles of words.

There are, of course, some people who say they want to be writers but lack the most rudimentary understanding of what that entails. However, as a BCG Pro subscriber, we think it unlikely you are in this bracket.

The truth is, becoming a writer is simple. All you really need to write is a pad of paper and a pen - even today, these are cheap.
