A former English/Drama teacher and Youth Theatre Director, Marie is currently a freelance copywriter by day and a budding TV comedy writer by night. Yep, she has burning the candle at both ends down to a tee.
At 55, she is flying in the face of potential 'ageism' to share some cracking stories with the world. So far, these include a one-hour comedy drama pilot, a couple of sitcom pilots, and a short play. She is currently working up many more ideas (if death doesn't beat her to it!).
In July 2023, Marie's short play, 'Avril' was commissioned for online production by Haywire Theatre, as part of their Pocketfull Project. To her astonishment, she has also recently won a few film festival awards for her TV comedy/drama pilot, 'Existential.'
