Character guide
Harry (Series 1)
Harry is the creator and promoter of Shambles comedy club. He is somewhat resigned to the fact that his comedy career isn't moving forward quite as fast as it should, or that his club nights aren't always full of punters.
Greg (Series 2)
Greg is the stressed-out owner of Aces And Eights, the bar in which Shambles runs. He's often trying to come up with ways to get more punters to turn up, but his efforts are often foiled by the incompetence of those around him.
Lex (Series 2)
Lex works behind the bar and generally keeps things ticking over in the venue. She couldn't care less about the tasks she is given, and normally does a bad job. She's more interested in causing some mischief or getting drunk.
Toby (Series 2)
Toby is the super-keen work experience lad that Greg has taken on. He wears a suit to 'work', even though it's not really the best attire for a bar and club. Toby has his heart in the right place, but his naïve nature means he often is taken advantage of and makes bad decisions that Harry and Greg have to then deal with.
Brian Legeite (Series 2)
Brian is Harry's cocky agent... a man who doesn't actually seem to get Harry any good gigs, but rather just takes a cut of the door money. Brian presents himself as a hot shot agent, but he actually just conducts his meetings in the bar or in a van.
Lizzie Johnbags (Series 2)
Lizzie runs a comedy blog. She's often hanging around the club and offering to help out. Her keen nature means she'd probably be an asset to the Shambles team, but the rest of them just seem to ignore her and wish she'd go away.
