  • The Kurupt FM Podkast has won in the Best Comedy category at the British Podcast Awards 2020
  • Rule Of Three was named Best Arts & Culture Podcast and The Rob Auton Daily Podcast
  • The Guilty Feminist won the Spotlight Award, and Listeners' Choice was Shagged. Married. Annoyed.

The Kurupt FM Podkast, featuring the stars of People Just Do Nothing, has won in the Best Comedy category at the British Podcast Awards.

The comedy-related results are as follows:

Best Comedy Podcast

The Kurupt FM Podkast

The judges said: "Funny, entertaining, creative and lighthearted, it was easy to laugh at and left us wanting to hear more."

Brian & Roger picked up the Silver award, with Dear Joan And Jericha taking Bronze.

Best Arts & Culture Podcast

Rule Of Three

Talking about the series hosted by comedy writers Jason Hazeley and Joel Morris, the judges said: "This great use of audio in an original format. Genuinely funny with engaging presentation, this is a podcast that encourages smart accessible conversation about the art of making comedy."

Best Daily Podcast

The Rob Auton Daily Podcast

The awards said: "Dripping in charm, the deadpan delivery elevates this daily podcast to one which should surely be regarded as a must-listen. In a subset of daily podcasts that, when faced with an ever-distorting world force themselves into a position of either editorialising and at worst polemicising, this creator opts-out and is here to create and to entertain - and there can be no virtue more universal than that. We certainly appreciated it."

Spotlight Award

The Guilty Feminist

Speaking about Deborah Frances-White's show, the panel said: "Intimate, honest and candid. It's changed the landscape for women podcasters as well as making a really conscious effort to bring under-represented voices to the forefront."

My Dad Wrote A Porno came third in this category.

Listeners' Choice

Shagged. Married. Annoyed.

The awards explain of the relationship-based podcast hosted by Chris Ramsey and Rosie Ramsey: "Chosen by public vote involving over 240,000 podcast listeners, Sh**ged Married Annoyed only launched in spring 2019, and has already amassed a very loyal following."

Elsewhere in the awards, David Walliams' Marvellous Musical Podcast won in the Best Family Podcast category, Y Podlediad Cymraeg Gorau with Elis James won Best Podcast in the Welsh Language, and Something Rhymes With Purple - hosted by Gyles Brandreth and Susie Dent - came top in the Best Entertainment category.
