NextUp is to stream a raft of shows from last year's Edinburgh Fringe as part of a season called Flashback Festival.

They include sketch duo Britney's critically acclaimed hour Friends & Nothing More, in which Charly Clive and Ellen Robertson ask the audience which of the pair they fancy more, plus Kate Barron, Lily Phillips, Sian Davies, Ted Hill and comedy magician Pete Heat recording their debut Edinburgh shows from last year. Isabelle Farah is also recording her admired 2021 debut.

The specials are being filmed at The Bedford venue in Balham, London over the next month, with several more set to be announced.

Barron is recording Losing Myself, Phillips is committing Smut to posterity, Davies is doing her show About Time and Hill is capturing All The President's Man. Heat is filming Blimey and Farah is shooting Ellipsis.

"NextUp was founded because we couldn't believe that incredible, often award-winning shows just got retired after their Edinburgh run/tour, with no visual trace" NextUp founder Sarah Henley told British Comedy Guide. "This is about us trying to capture as many of last year's brilliant shows as possible, so that fans who haven't made it to see the acts live, still get a chance to enjoy this incredible comedy."

Tickets for all of the Flashback Festival shows are available at sroaudiences.com.

Meanwhile, NextUp is to broadcast The Wrestling live from the inaugural Just For Laughs LONDON Festival at The O2 on Sunday.

The event features Ed Gamble, Alex Horne, Phil Wang, Glenn Moore and Abi Clarke making their ring debuts, with Rosie Jones defending her championship belt.

Double act Max & Ivan, creators of the show that's become a recurring fixture at the Edinburgh Fringe since 2015, will be participating in a tag-team match.

Joe Lycett is acting as Moore's manager, while Aisling Bea, Iain Stirling, Nish Kumar and Greg James will commentate. Suzi Ruffell is MCing and Nick Helm, Jazz Emu and Flo & Joan are providing music.

The grappling event begins at 8pm in the Indigo at the O2, on the final day of the Just For Laughs Festival in Greenwich.
