Thank God You're Here still struggling for ratings

ITV's improvisational comedy show Thank God You're Here is continuing to struggle in the ratings. Last week, the first episode attracted a disappointing 2.9 million viewers. It has now emerged that last weekend's episode dropped another 200,000 viewers taking it down to 2.7 million viewers. In comparison ITV normally attracts around 5 million viewers to this slot on Saturday.

It's predicted the next episode will also get poor ratings too, because it is being shunted back in the schedules to 10:05pm due to ITV showing a Harry Potter film. Next Saturday's episode will star Adam Buxton (The Adam and Joe Show), Lee Mack (Not Going Out), Phil Nichol (The Naked Racist) and Jennie McAlpine (Coronation Street). The following week the show will see the slow take up another time-slot - this time starting at 9:30pm.

Whilst Thank God You're Here has been denting ITV's audience figures, Harry Hill has been performing very well on the channel. He got 5.3 million viewers for All New You've Been Framed and 6 million for TV Burp immediately afterwards.

ITV's Friday night prime-time schedule is in trouble with Moving Wallpaper and Echo Beach falling to their lowest ratings yet last week. Behind-the-scenes comedy drama Moving Wallpaper, was watched by 3.5 million, down 300,000 on last week and 1.5 million on its debut. Meanwhile Echo Beach, the Cornwall-based soap connected to the comedy did even worse - it's now down to 2.8 million.

Meanwhile later on Friday Al Murray's Happy Hour was seen by 2.5 million, the repeat of QI got 2.3 million, Jack Dee Live attracted 1.2 million and Friday Night with Jonathan Ross averaged 4.4 million.
