My Family wins TV Quick and TV Choice award

Long-running BBC1 sitcom My Family has won the "Best Comedy Show" at the TV Quick and TV Choice Awards.

The series, which has been running since 2000, is one of the BBC's most successful comedies, with the last series attracting over 6 million viewers per episode. There is however some doubt about whether another series will be go ahead, due to lead actors Robert Lindsay and Zoƫ Wanamaker showing signs of tiring.

Elsewhere, the "Best Entertainment Show" award went to Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, beating Friday Night with Jonathan Ross. Ant and Dec also won the award for "Best Reality TV Show" with I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Outta Here!. The award for "Best International Show" went to Desperate Housewives, beating both The Simpsons and Ugly Betty.

The most successful shows on the night were Coronation Street with four awards and Doctor Who with two.
