The world's largest arts festival, the Edinburgh Fringe, is renowned for its diverse array of shows, but unfortunately, few cater to both parents and their young children. Edel McG is set to revolutionise the Fringe experience for frazzled parents with her highly anticipated show, Baby Bingo (and Toddlers Too).

This unique production combines the excitement of bingo, relatable comedy, baby sensory moments and expertly crafted jokes that even three-year-olds will appreciate.

Having discovered her passion for comedy at Bright Club (performing stand-up about her Clinical Psychology day job), Edel's comedic career was briefly interrupted by the pandemic and maternity. During this hiatus, Edel pondered some pressing questions about the Fringe: 'Why are children's shows so long?' 'Why should parents pay when only the baby is having fun?' and 'Why can't toddlers sit through soliloquies?'. These musings inspired her to create an inclusive space where young families are not only welcomed, but actively encouraged to attend and be themselves.

"I want to break down the barriers that make parents with babies and toddlers feel unwelcome at comedy performances", Edel emphasises. "With Baby Bingo I aim to provide an atmosphere where nonsense reigns supreme, allowing us to enjoy the delightful absurdities of parenthood together."
