Jimmy is 34 and has never felt like he belonged. After losing his job at Newports only drive-through doughnut restaurant, Jimmy's only solace is his call with Kitty. Kitty's life isn't fulfilling either, living with her topiary-obsessed landlord, her adult chat line clients are what makes her week interesting, all at £1.20 a minute. One morning Jimmy realises he's disappearing, the clock is ticking for him to turn his world upside down and stop himself from vanishing completely. Written by Alan Harris, How My Light Is Spent explores love, loneliness and doughnuts.
