Rhinoceros
'People who try to hang on to their individuality always come to a bad end!' Noun: rhinoceros. Plural noun: rhinoceroses. Plural noun: rhinoceros. Full of biting wit and nightmarish anxiety, Ionesco's classic absurdist drama Rhinoceros is a parable of the individual's struggle against the dangers of conformism and despite the intervening years, it is one which still resonates. This production from Blackheath High School is fast, funny, physical and terrifying. You have been warned.

This difficult and interesting play was brilliantly updated and adapted to to the challenges of the small stage provided by the Space on the Mile. I congratulate the Director and all involved as this abridged version of Ionesco's classic highlighted both team and individual performances. I wholeheartedly commend this show to you as it fully deserved my 5 star rating.
