Alys Metcalf and Roxy Dunn answers 10 questions about their 2016 Edinburgh Fringe show...

Give us a quick overview of your comedy career so far. Are you happy with where you're at?

We're not sure there was an official start point. Happy so far, but since we started this show we've become slightly obsessed with punning.

Tell us two truths and one lie about yourself (but mix them up, keep us guessing!).

1. Alys met a real life fortune teller and was told she'd suffer a near fatal disease.

2. Roxy has a phobia of the word 'belly'.

3. One of us was a semi-finalist in Britain's Young Spelling Bee Championship.

Describe your new show in exactly 23 words.

Two actors compete with their egos to tell a comic, time-hoping story, exploring whether our lives are predetermined or shaped by choice.

Any cunning plans to get more punters in?

Roxy has a mean flirt face. Mean in the good way. Not like aggressive and menacing.

What's your plan for trying to eat - and drink - healthily during the Fringe?

Alys has sworn off alcohol for one week. So far, so sober, but her chat has been awful.

Roxy is an advocate of everything in moderation...except kale, she bloody loves kale.

What will you miss most while you're away from home?

Roxy will miss debating with her housemate James on the stairs over whether it's okay to eat raw vegetarian sausages (she thinks yes). Alys never misses anything, she went to boarding school so learnt young how not to pine after home comforts or nice food.

Aside from performing, what else are you looking forward to doing in Scotland's fine capital?

Obviously joining in with the gaggle of annoying performers who swarm the peak of Arthur's Seat remarking on the unbelievable view whilst holding back a tear.

If you took over programming a Fringe venue, what would your perfect line-up of comedians be?

Bridget Christie (we reference her in the show so she's high up on the list), Daniel Kitson (Obviously), Joz Norris and Sunil Patel.

Name the one person you'd rather not bump into during the festival.

The scary thing that comes out of the wall in Stranger Things. That's been on my mind recently when falling asleep in our new digs. (That was Alys's answer. Roxy doesn't believe in anything supernatural).

Why should audiences pick your show over the 1,800+ other Fringe offerings listed on BCG this year?

Because Colin Mochrie likes it and he's a freaking legend.
