Candy Gigi: If I Had a Rich Man
Oy! Everyon'es favourite Yiddish girl Candy Gigi, Malcome Hardee Award winner 2014, has transformed Fiddler on the Roof into something truly bizarre and outrageous. She talks and sings you through the life and pressures of being brought up as an Orthodox Jew, and the lengths she's gone to hunt down a nice Jewish man. Candy would ask that any Jewish boys coming to the show stay after so she can talk to you and introduce you to her mum. Thanks and Shalom. Fringe & Just For Laughs: the same but very different
"Well," said Luca Cupani, "the Fringe is all on the shoulders of the performers. You do your show and, among the punters, there might be some industry people. But the industry it is hidden; you don't see them. In Montreal it is more visible - the industry. The companies, they promote the shows, they invite people and then the punters come. It is on the same level as Edinburgh but different."
