Figs in Wigs have been taking objects for granted, exploiting their physical forms by placing them onstage and manipulating them for our own selfish advantage. We have objectified objects for too long: it's time to put the spotlight in the spotlight, let the staging upstage us and finally show our objects some affection. We, Object is an absurdist amalgamation of visual puns, word play and amateur dancing. (NB: This is not a show about small things). 'Deliciously watchable' (Stage). 'Dali would be proud' (Scotsman). 'Clever, witty and wonderfully irreverent' (BroadwayBaby.com).

Figs in Wigs have been taking objects for granted; exploiting their physical forms by placing them under the gaze of spectators. We have objectified objects for too long. It's time to put the spotlight in the spotlight, let the staging upstage us, and finally show our objects some affection.

We, Object is an absurdist amalgamation of visual puns, word play and amateur dancing that deals with objects, objectification and objection. Our movements are big yet the objects are small. As the show progresses, it becomes increasingly unclear as to who (or what) is (or isn't) being objectified. Figs in Wigs are five women placing themselves in the spotlight, using comedy to highlight something so frequently laughed off.

Or perhaps it's just a show about small things.

We, Object won Roundhouse Show Slam 2012 and was first performed at Roundhouse on 7th February 2013 with the following cast:

Alice Roots, Rachel Gammon, Suzanna Hurst, Rachel Porter and Jessica Fellows
