More details

The world premiere of a moving, affectionate and brilliantly funny homage to the brilliant double act Morecambe and Wise. Soon to be undertaking a major UK tour.

The show vividly brings back the warm memories of a bygone era, recreating some of the finest moments of Eric and Ernie's television and stage performances with the use of classic material, used with permission of writers who worked with Morecambe and Wise, alongside new material created by the show's writer/performers which explores the dynamic of the enduring popular double act.

Ian Ashpitel and Jonty Stephens first met at drama school 30 years ago and have more recently collaborated to build this show from an after-dinner sketch into a full show. Individually they have a wide variety of stage and television credits ranging from BBC drama to Shakespeare's Globe.

Director Owen Lewis most recently staged solo shows for Suggs, Mrs Moneypenny and Hardeep Singh Kohli; previous stage credits include the West End and international hit Pete and Dud: Come Again. He is also directing Luke Kempner's new show The Only Way Is Downton at the Fringe this year.
