Written by Plautus around 200 B.C.E. this comedy combines the elements of farce: confusion, chaos and physical humour. After his mother leaves for a trip to Egypt, young Philolaches has parties, causes trouble and even buys a wife. When his mother returns unexpectedly, he and his loyal slave, Tranio, scramble to come up with a plan to cover their tracks, they will make her believe their house is haunted. Matters become complicated by the arrival of Philolaches' moneylender and Simo, the elderly next door neighbour. Produced by EP Scarlett High School from Calgary, Canada.
