Press coverage

Full press release

Following sell-out runs in 2010 & 2011, McNeil & Pamphilon are back at the Edinburgh Fringe with a brand new hour of sketch, song and banter. This brilliant double-act has been compared to everyone from Morecambe & Wise to Reeves & Mortimer to The Mighty Boosh.

Join Steve (admin conscious, luckless nerd) and Sam (underachieving, dropout airhead) as they deal with their shared identity crisis and try to answer the ultimate question - who are McNeil & Pamphilon? Witness two men old enough to know better giving the dream of 'making it' in Edinburgh one last stab. As they struggle to do precisely this we see cracks emerge in the relationship, leading to an outrageous "solution"... This is a show that allows a glimpse into the agony & ecstasy of attempting to carve out a "successful" comedy career.

The duo has had a great year, performing together on Funny in 15 (BBC Three), Flash Prank (MTV) and separately on YouTube's The Stuffs & Dara O'Briain's new panel show for Dave (airing 2012). They recently had material commissioned for Funnyplusone (BBC) & have radio show The McNeil and Pamphilon Experiment in development with Top Dog Productions. They have also filmed two 'tasters' with the BBC as writer/performers, and continue to develop several sitcoms in-house with the BBC.
