Currently Canada's hottest emerging young comedienne, Dana began her comedy career at the tender age of 18 and quickly became a regular fixture on the Canadian Comedy circuit, resulting recently in her own one hour comedy special on the country's number one Stand-up show Comedy Now. One of Canada's most outspoken and hilarious women is packing her bags for the UK and arriving on Edinburgh's doorstep for a debut run at the festival this year. The only black female comedian currently on the circuit in Canada, Dana's comedic style is both refreshing and irreverent, drawing her material from her diverse lifestyle, her gay friends and her crazy Jamaican family. This will be a Fringe debut not to be missed.

Culture shock meets hilarity as, all the way from Canada, New Arrival is straight up stand-up from a fresh perspective. Dana talks about everything from family to sex to culture with a down-to-earth and world sensibility. Her unique ability to see the insanity on our every-day lives is what endears her to a wide variety of audiences all over the world. Original and from the gut, New Arrival is a must see.

Originally from Edmonton, Dana began her comedy career at the tender age of 18 and quickly became a regular fixture in Canadian Comedy Clubs, universities and festivals. She was voted in the "Best Discoveries" by Toronto's renowned Now Magazine in 2006 and has since been included in their "Best Of" issues three years in a row, easily making her one of Canada's hottest emerging young comedians. Her Canadian TV credits include Halifax Comedy Festival (CBC), Video on Trial (Much Music), women's only network The Slice Network and The Comedy Channel (XM Satellite Radio) and this past year her national half-hour comedy special was aired on CTV.
