My name is Dan Hoy and it's my Stag Do! Come and join in the fun with me and two other comedians every night. It has to be better than being tied to a lamppost, doesn't it? Performances from Dan Hoy, Nick Hodder and Paul F Taylor.

Dan Hoy became a stand-up comedian five years ago and was looking forward to performing his first Edinburgh Festival Fringe show in 2011. On 3rd September Dan is getting married, so it was looking like a fantastic year, until his fiancé gave him an ultimatum: Fringe show, or stag-do?

Luckily, lots of Dan's very best friends are stand-up comedians, so in an effort to appease his fiancé, and his friends he's combining the two. Dan's show is his stag do!

So now everyone is welcome to join Dan and his comedy friends for 'Dan Hoy's Stag Do!' Each night, the evening will kick-off with sets from comic and best man Paul F. Taylor, Nick Hodder and Luke Graves, before introducing the man of the hour, Hackney Empire Finalist, Dan Hoy, with his trademark array of one-liners and puns.

Fellow Hackney Empire Finalist, Luke Graves, is excited about the introduction of social media to the show, "We have a website, Facebook app, Twitter account and mobile number advertised on the flyers. We want people to get in touch and tell us about their best and worst stag-do experiences. The best ones will get a mention during the shows, and be posted on the website. It will be great to get loads of people involved in the event."

Comedian and stag-do participant, Nick Hodder, is a little uncertain about the type of audience they might see at 11pm in the evening "Although the show is called Dan Hoy's Stag Do, we're not really rowdy "stag-do! type people. On most nights, we'll have mainly been drinking cups of tea all day, so it will be interesting if lots of drunken stag dos turn up expecting knob gags".

Despite Nick's concerns, Dan and his friends will be properly celebrating in a (potentially messy) show on 20th August. Dan's Best Man, Paul F. Taylor, says "I'm hesitant to recommend that particular performance. It's at 11pm, and on that day we will have been drinking all day. It will either be incredibly rowdy, or we'll have drunk so much, we'll need a nap".

You can join Dan Hoy and his friends on the stag do from the 6th - 20th August at The Banshee Labyrinth, on Niddry St. (Venue: 156). It has to be better than being tied to a lamppost, doesn't it?
