Corden & Horne - Secret Policemen's Ball

God forbid they do an unprepared, half-arsed piece of old shit.

That really was terrible. It got a fair kicking in the SPB thread the other night, too.

When's their much vaunted sketch show start? The one some big BBC exec said would turn them into the Two Ronnies of this generation?

Was it.... supposed to be a bit like that excellent thing at last year's?
Where thingywotsit did a dance to that Natalie Imbruglia Torn song?

That was superb, but I can't be bothered to look up his name. David something.

Yes. He's in EVERYTHING at the moment.
I love him.

But his name has escaped me...

David Armand.

Awesome!

Corden & Horne obviously forgot they had to do something that night! As for David Armand, I still enjoy the clip after first seeing it a year or two ago :)

:O I'd totally forgotten about that - it was bloody brilliant.

C&H was apalling, sadly.

I managed about 48 seconds for that clip. Enough to write two thirds of an episode of Gavin & Stacey.

I had wondered on the night if anyone else had found that completely unfunny. I can imagine how it might have seemed to them like it was going to be hilarious, but the audience wasn't there when they came up with it and isn't in on the joke; which is to prance around and be appallingly bad, apparently.

Who was that creepy Australian bloke, with the eyeliner? F**king hell, he was annoying.

Tim Minchin.
I quite like him.

Tim Minchin Was champion! It was a really good song and he isn't a bad singer either! That was one of the highlights to what was not such an impressive year! I quite liked Eddie Izzard as well. Sean Lock made me chuckle :)

Tim Minchin is brilliant! Very funny stuff.

He was quite good yeah - phenomenal singer too!
