Though this may interest some people, it's in the US but still:

Coool, I wonder even if it comes out in the US that it will come out in the UK, I'm sure it will. I like her stuff.

Bump. Sorry

Go right to the bottom.

Very interesting. I'd watch. :)

Stephen Mangan is to be in it! :D

Had a feeling he might, but definitely good news.

I saw on one of the Guardian's blog that Victoria Pile's new American police comedy is going to star Jason Alexander, who played George Costanza in Seinfeld.

I just found this on the Green Wing livejournal. Apprantly the new show is terrible.

Okay, so I just watched Victoria Pile's untitled US pilot and being a huge Green Wing fan, I was extremely disappointed. Stephen Mangan is in it, and I used to think that I could be entertained by him just reading from the phone book. Only in this pilot, he's not speaking with an English accent or an American accent -- just something in between. Both Orlando Jones and Jason Alexander are completely miscast. I kept picturing Mark Heap in Jason Alexander's role. And you don't realize how truly brilliant Michelle Gomez is until you see Kathleen Rose Perkins trying to do a Sue White-like role. Sue White's sexual advances to Mac always came off as hilariously creepy, whereas Kathleen Rose Perkin's came off as just out of place and not funny.

And the worst thing about the pilot... THEY USE THE SAME MUSIC, EDITING STYLE AND TRANSITIONS AS GREEN WING!. I'm not talking about similar music stings, I'm saying it's the exact music from Green Wing. Every time it played, it instantly took me out of it.

The lackluster acting could have been overlooked if the script had been good, but unfortunately, this wasn't the case. All in all, there's nothing good about this pilot and I can see why it was passed on.

Huh. Wasn't expecting that.
:(

Was that an American version of Green Wing, or a different show?

I think it was a different show.

What made her go for America this time? Also, what channel was it on?

I don't know what channel it was on, but I have found the programme's IMDB entry.
