First home-grown salad of the season.

First home-grown salad of the season.
Rocket?
No, actualy.
That's actually three very young lettuces.
A red oak-leaf, a Reine de Glace which is a crisphead with spikey outer leaves and a weird one from a barmy mix called Flaming Oakheart.
I plant them really close then 'prune' them out to let the rest grow on to full size.

😕 ❓ 1,000 Islands?
My accidental cherry tree has an abundance of cherries in its 2nd year of producing fruit.
It will be pruned back in autumn as it is blocking the light
Nice too - haven't got any cherries yet (only 2nd year since planting) but me plums are looking good - well, Sharon next door was impressed
First strawberries of the year:
I'm lucky enough to be able to pay someone to grow them for me.
Grown and picked by your gardener Giles no doubt and served on the silver platter by your butler Jeeves, who sprinkled some sugar over them from the silver shaker, both of which have been in your family since the Norman Conquest.
Actually my gardener's name is Sainsbury. Although if he can't manage it all there's a local chap I can call on called Morrison.
Can't find any at Ali Baba's 24 hour Family Emporium, then?
