Kate and Koji

Did anyone see this? The most astonishing thing is that given the creative talent of Hamilton and Jenkin plus two brilliant actors in Blethyn and Akingbola, it was.... really not great.

I laughed once. I think the question is - if this script was submitted by an unknown, would it have gotten anywhere near development never mind production?

I think it might have stood a chance had it been submitted in the 1970s.

In 2020, I can imagine the script being passed ever-upward along the chain of command at ITV with a post-it note on the front saying "Never mind the comedy: feel the woke!"

At least it upset the Grauniad. That's one good point in its favour.
