Cowboys

I recently purchased both series, being a fan of David Kelly in Robin's Nest and Slinger's Day. Having seen the first series, I thought Colin Welland's Geyser seemed to get most of the best lines. I was sad to see Debbie Linden (Doreen) died in 1997 at 36, although admittedly she wasn't the best actress.

Love this series. Sadly underrated and unknown. I highly recommend the DVDs to anyone: https://www.comedy.co.uk/tv/cowboys/buy/

As Aaron knows, I'm a massive fan of this series.

You only need to check out the wallpapering bit with Wobbly Ron and Eric to appreciate the genius of this show.

And that's before you take into account Roy Kinnear, Colin Welland and Janine Duvitski!

Sounds good. I like "working class"-situations. Hope this is available on DVD.

I used to really like this show. I see The Squirrels is being released by network too, for some reason I always think of these shows in tandem

It's a shame ITV or BBC won't repeat them. Such a great comedy.

£18 and you can repeat them 'til the cows come home !

Hi guys, I'd never heard of this show until I visited this site. I managed to *ahem* 'obtain' vhs(ish) quality recordings that were aired on UK Gold. Really good show. I'm gonna buy the DVDs now.

Pleased to have shared the love. A really wonderful series, this. :)

Absolutely. I'm a big fan of the old(er) sitcoms (Not exclusively) and this is one of the few I'd never heard of. I was 3/4 years old when it was first aired and I'm guessing it was not (or maybe only briefly) repeated on terrestrial TV?

Not sure, but unlikely to have got many, no.

Welcome to the wonderful world of appreciating one of the finest and most underrated sitcoms of all time !

Must get round to watching this. Bought both series a while back. I have loved David Kelly since first seeing him in the brilliant film Waking Ned Divine.
