That's a strong list, nice.
Recently I read a book of Lenny Bruce routines and I have to be completely honest, most of it was over my head! I could understand the guy's intelligence and wit but I think you have to be pretty well-up on the period to get the comedy. Fascinating as a historical document but as I say, I didn't get a lot of the humour.

1. Lee Evans
2. Jo Brand
3. Victoria Wood

Although he now hates his early work - Woody Allen was a terrific stand-up.

I was about to say Woody Allen

Sean Lock
Harry Hill
Jerry Seinfeld

Not a huge Woody Allen fan but he certainly was an excellent stand-up, up there with Lenny Bruce and Bill Hicks as both a mirth-maker and an innovator.
Incidentally I went through all his quotes recently - Wikipedia, a reliable source - and my favourite Woody Allen quote of all time has to be 'Can't wait to shag that, don't care if it IS my underage adopted daughter.'

I prefer sit-down comedy.
