Monty Python's Flying Circus Page 7

I'm with Lazzbian on this one. Far too much crud in there, and my copy was cheap too. And Now For Something Completely Different? At your peril.
I love them cos they were the first of a kind, with the exception of Milligan (who they loved too), and I'm impressed they churned out so much without repeating the same characters all the time, but I could never bingewatch Flying Circus like Fawlty Towers or The Young Ones. I wrote an article once: http://www.gigglebeats.co.uk/columns/a-peek-at-python/

YES There IS a lot of dross, and I'm not saying there wasn't; BUT for the little I paid for the DVDs and to have on tap so to speak, the likes of Spanish Inquisition and 5 minute argument (one of the best written sketches of all time in my opinion) is a bargain.................Thank you, and Good Afternoon.

I could list now, but what's the point. I'm very happy with the four discs I have, and I never binge watch, as I've made clear on this forum on many an occasion.

This is supposed to be totally uncut. As it was originally shown.

I do find men dressing up as women for comedy purposes more grating than funny, and something that has thankfully fallen out of fashion. Sadly, it did seem a big part of Pythons schtick.

I remember watching them at the time and often thinking " I hope next week is better"

They're not making cuts themselves. Seems to be that they are unwittingly using a source that is cut though.

I remember when they repeated them for the first time in years back in 1990 Thursday night
I loved them and really looked forward to it each week, as I'd been living off the albums in the meantime
You're no Fun anymore number 7 or 8 is a really good episode, but they were all good.
But that was 30 odd years ago so they do seem a bit out of date nowadays. and although Eric Idle was my favourite, Michael Palin is still the nicest person in the world officially

Nice? https://youtu.be/4vPUeB2ZqQU They were repeated around 87 on Saturday and the Beeb completely f**ked it up, repeating bits and skipping weeks.

Got an unwanted Monty Python sketch in my inbox. Must be spam.

Don't cause a fuss dear, I'll have it
