Would imagine that at 1 and 3/4 hours The Return Of 'Allo 'Allo! was stretched a bit thin?
Was the character of Herr Flick omitted because having a member of the Gestapo - even in comic form - a bit too much for the PC BBC in 2007?

I think it worked quite well, as it mixed sitcom with documentary aspects.
