Computer Help Needed

Hey, something has got a hold of my e-mail details somehow and once a week is sending out an e-mail, supposedly from me, to everyone in my contact list telling them about cheap electronics deals. I've run virus scans and now changed my e-mail password, I was wondering if people know if that's enough to stop this kind of thing, or is there something else I need to do? It is annoying, especially as I'm spamming industry contacts. I know nothing about computers.

Any advice??

Please help him. I can barely sleep through the fear that I'm going to get more spam email from the Stottster.

Is it using your name? or your domain name to send the emails?

I told you, those pics of me in a thong were not spam.

I think I've been receiving the same type of spam from other people in my address book. Sorry, can't help though. Errr

Um, I don't even know the difference. It's just sending them through my email, as though it was from me, as though I'd logged in and was sending them. It doesn't actually use my name in the body of the e-mail, and the majority aren't turning up in my sent folder. At least it's not sending out porn or something I suppose.

No, but you did stuff some tins of spam down the front of your thong.

Which reminds me! I have a very good picture on my phone to show you. It's a much more impressive angle this time.

Do they say stuff like,

Hi [name] how are you doing lately?

Have you heard about a great website where you can get good deals, blah blaah... I thought you'd like it a lot...

Anyway, I'll stop holding this thread up with my penis and let the IT bods suggest something.

Yeah, but without an actual name, just things like Hey friend! Or hey, how are you?

Scan you PC for Malware. http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html

Then once scan is done. Change your password again and your reminder information, also if you have any other email accounts change the password on them as well. They may have password for that and just look at the change password confirmation in that account.

I don't understand where they are coming from, but I'm getting the same. The only thing I'd suggest is a new email account.

Or do what Gav sez :$

I once had a virus that assigned itself as user of the pc and stole my juice. Try check if there is other users assigned to yours.

Ok, cool, thanks.

Tis annoying, I was just about to write an e-mail to someone, and the electronics spam automatically pastes itself into the body of the e-mail! Spamming bastards!!!!
