Friends - it's great at what it does, but a) it's not British (the subject of this thread) and b) it's not even the best US sitcom of its decade (IMO). ;)

Friends the best sitcom of the decade? Nope.

Friends the best MAINSTREAM sitcom of the decade? Sure, definitely.

Fair enough :P
But I stand by Fawlty Towers and Father Ted :D
Feck is actually my faveourite word...

You are allowed those two, yes. :D

Tim smiles benevolently and pats little child's head . . .

I'd have to say

1960s - Till Death Us Do Part

1970s - Fawlty Towers

1980s - 'Allo 'Allo!

1990s - 2point4 Children

2000s - After You've Gone

If I never hear that joke again it will be too soon :P

Also I noticed someone has changed my post to include the full title of Till Death Us Do Part lols, thanks as I couldn't remember if it was Us Do or Do Us haha

As a wild guess, I'll say that was probably Aaron.

And I always pegged Ellie as the pedantic one!

No, Ellie gets turned-on by typos. She loves the cook. Cool
