Thanks Bill. I had the misapprehension that storing stuff in cyberspace was the way forward but from what you say, no. In that case I'll stick with my original plan of putting everything on cds, probably get my older son to keep them. I'm not worried about secrecy - it's all my scripts and plenty of them are already out in public.

Well, Microsoft, Apple & Google are promoting storage in the Cloud, so it can't be all wrong, but use it with open eyes, aware of what could happen. Don't put your SOLE COPIES of files in the cloud.

I read this as 'fire-proof Sade'.

She would be no use to me at all.

Coool. And a fake baked bean can!

Dropbox is a handy web based storage system, it's accessible from almost anywhere too...

I just used it for a writing jobby bloody easy to use, amazing and I downloaded onto me mobi dead easy.

Is there a way to download programmes from BBC 'listen again.'

What save them on your computer?

I wouldn't think so unless you used a DVD recorder or something.

Otherwise how else will they make money from cd and DVD sales?

Yes that is what I meant. I wanted to listen to something at my leisure and not within the time they allow. I guess I can't then. :(

Kind've what I was getting at, but a much better answer!

Basically the equivalent of pointing a video camera at the telly in the good old days.

Ah, ok, I will give that a go. Thank you.

There's this

http://www.nerdoftheherd.com/tools/radiodld/

I have to say I've only tried it briefly at work and it didn't erm work. That's more than likely down to our firewall though. Has a nice, easy to use UI though so I'm hoping I can get it to work

UPDATE: Jumped over the firewall. Works a treat.

I couldn't get the link to work earlier but I can now. Will have a look at both options tomorrow and consider which to go for.

Thanks very much, it's just what I was looking for.
:D

I've used that for about 3 years, no problems.

Dan

If I ask a real dumbass question are you all gonna laugh at me or be kind? Huh?

Bit of both. But we'll still love you.
