Artists have something to say and they find the way to do it. If you are talking about making money out of it Vigo that is a separate debate.

Are you saying that writing comedy is not an art form and that David Renwick, Paul Merton (one of the great writers of surreal comedy) or John Sullivan didnt make money from their work?
GBeing an artist doesn't always equate with being poor.
I would think that writing comedy when it comes down to it is ever bit as much an art form as writing any other kind of play.
Except soaps that is.
And Im saying that just to make Lazzard extremely cross.

If it is to me... I struggle to find anything I have written that would support such a thesis. As to the rest... there you go then. Get on with it.

I am able to write full time so I am fortunate I suppose(?nah!?)- I've just recently finished a feature script which we are filming in the summer so I am taking a break and coming to some self realisation like;

Hollywood is definitely a dominant presence in the marketplace. However, we hope to see independent feature films carve out a more nuanced and European-friendly approach to storytelling. This is part of our mission: to develop meaningful stories that have a positive social impact.

In terms of comedy, we are focusing our attention on comedy-thrillers. Also, we develop what we call, "Social SciFi", which is more "two minutes into the future", than space opera. It explores the social consequences of new technology, often in amusing ways. Our "Enangered Species" project is a synthesis of this.
