One question i have is when someone is speaking on the phone but not seen how do you put this in the script

INT. Hollywood offices
2 producers are looking over the latest figures for the Dark Knight movie
Producer 1

What's happening here? The gross figures are getting lower
Producer 2:

This always happens for films, the longer they are out the lower the figures they get.

Producer 1:
Heath Ledger died, don't people realise how tragic this is.

Producer 2:
I don't think we should be trying to capitalise on his suicide

Producer 1:
No of course we're not

Producer 2:
Yeah, the decision to put him on all of the posters wasn't capitalising when he isn't even the main character

Producer 1:
We're going to have to think of something

Producer 2:
What do you propose?

Producer 1:
Let me think (pause) Morgan Freeman is old see if he's willing to die.

Producer 2:
Okay...

Producer 1:
Let's ring him

Producer 1 starts dialling and rings

Producer 1
Hey Morgan just calling for a favour

Morgan Freeman
Hello I can't talk right now, I'm driving oh shit

All that can be heard is the sound of the car crashing

Producer 2:
Happy?

Producer 1:
He'll probably survive...but this will do for now

I laughed, very dark but very funny.

Could be a little tighter, but very neat topical gag.

(O.O.V. ON PHONE) = Out of view, on phone.

Didn't really appeal to me - but was well written.

Love the line about seeing if Morgan Freeman's willing to die.

Incidentally did you catch Frankie Boyle on Mock the week? Caption - something like - lines you won't see in a movie:

FB "I'm the joker and i'll be back....Hmm i don't think so."
