I'm just listening to Bowie's Hunky Dory album and had forgotten how much Rick Wakeman had contributed to it.

I've seen Rick Wakeman up close in real life, he is a very big man! Whereas often famous people are smaller than you expect.

Same with Ross Noble. Although quite frankly Mr. Noble's contribution to David Bowie's recorded output has been disappointing.

Do any other readers have fun anecdotes about the surprising size of marginally famous celebrities?

I often used the Plough Lane football ground toilets at half time at the same time as Cardew Robinson. I can't comment on size though.
