Foden has been a good player for FPL lately and Haaland has gorn oft.

Yup, that's why I played him as captain, and left Haaland on the bench

I feel so sorry for the people who played Haaland on the field 😆

And Horse has him as Captain on his bench - what the hell is that all about?

Except when I had him as captain in gameweek 22 when he only scored 6 points (while my vice-captain scored 13).

Actually it didn't make any difference because he was replaced by a substitute. In my case a 6 point scoring one.

He selected him to play (and his vice-captain, Watkins, too) but, as neither played, both were automatically swapped for substitutes.

Ah, so they don't change the captaincy too?

Well, normally that's where your vice captain earns his corn. But if he doesn't play either then you're rather stymied.

The finer points of the FPL are lost on me.....................so too it seems for me, on how to pick a team ðŸĪŠðŸĪĄ

I went to bed at just after 10 o'clock last night, confident that I had easily won my H2H match, only to find that Carlton Palmer (or was it Cole Porter) had scored twice in the early hours of the morning and robbed me of my rightful victory.

And created a new record for the latest minute in game for a team leading at 90mins to lose! Ridiculous farrago. I've lost serious money on bets for this since the FA dreamed up this 20minute added time nonsense which has seen some teams shafted, especially against teams exploiting it by wasting time to get another ten minutes added.

It was done apparently to stop teams in the lead time wasting to run the clock down and win, but what it has now done is encourage the losing team to time waste, knowing it'll give them a ridiculous amount of added time against a nervously hanging on team. I've never seen so many late late goals go in until this daft season, and some games have had more goals in added time than normal time ffs. More needless meddling FA stupidity if that was ever possible! 😟

And VAR should be for goal-line technology only. Did all of the ball cross the line?
Or if the ref asks for it for something he missed.
Not for the thickness of the player's shirt or his big toe was off side.

Then perhaps you need to bet with Betfair Sportsbook (as opposed to Betfair Exchange):

"Betfair's brilliant new offer for the 2023-24 football season means winning match odds bets will be paid out on 90 minutes no matter what happens in added time...

Winning match odds bets paid out on 90 minutes. No need to worry about added-time goals

Simply add Match Odds 90 market or any market with the 90 icon to your betslip from coupons or event view.

The '90' icon will be visible next to all football fixtures where 90 minute payout is available.

It will appear next to each selection in your bet slip where 90 minute payout has been applied."

I have not tested it out myself because betting on the actual result of a match is not something I get involved with (as you will appreciate from my Super6 predictions).

Well, it was nice having last week in single figures of 9th, but all good things must come to an end, I suppose

I've definitely misssed a few game weeks of this recently, and the super 6 but I'm still technically active
And in answer to Dons Question, maybe but not me much anymore
And Hi to Horse who does seem a jolly a good egg and I do feel guilty for not at least attempting to enter his comedy world by reading any of his posts in their entirety

You still tonked me in the H2H :(

Horse says "I knows it is only midweeks but I couldn't holds back on thanking Steve Sunshine for his lovely comments. One of my few abilities is to make a posters name real and I have done its again. He really does nows seem sunshiney. It is a shames that he has missed my comedy posts but the facts that he takes all of my serious one seriously is a real honours. I have just been givens a string vests by my mate Selwyn Newtit. It looks so goods on me I am goings to go on a meet the laydeez forum. I won't be sayings of course that I haven't changed me socks - socks - woks - reeboks - socceroonees in six weeks or either that I raids me fridge at 3am in the morning to scoffs down custard tarts. That is betweens me and my eel farm"

With MC at home to Luton and Foden out of the frame was expecting Haaland to do at least a hat-trick, so triple captained him; but he scores only one.

Still, 30 points better than nowt.

AND not only gave me highest points second week running, but a record (for me) of 110 points!! -Bloody Hell

Look out Horse, I'm coming after your tail. 😁

Saucemaddish says Well done to everyones for the fantastic performances this week. I haven'ts had so much fun since beings in that field of sheeps in my rain mac and wellies.
