How long have you been retired now?

;)

Will Cam only got up at 1 but is ready for a nap.

With or without the 1 hour clock advance?

I got up at 11 GMT cussed when my computer told me it had advanced the clock, dashed around updating most of the clocks in the house.

Then I painted 8.4 metres of picture rail and then chiseled out the plaster around 4 cracks and then mixed more plaster and repaired the cracks then removed some masking tape from the light fitting.

And yes I'm ready for a nap too... But decided to have tea and sarnies and see what gives on BCG forum.

THe plaster powder I had was rather old (about 4 years) and apparently old plaster sets very quickly, so getting the plaster into the cracks was bit of a mad dash.

:O

If you are talking plaster powder (pink?) as a plasterer would skim the walls with then yes, it has a very short shelf life, but something like say Polyfilla I have used years out of date and it was still useable.

Got to london eventually. Flight felt longer than it was because I didn't sleep. Stared to feel very light headed about 8.30pm despite just having eaten. Then realised I'd been awake for over 24 hours. For first time ever I think feel asleep in under 10mins

Ben got drunk last night and had a lot of fun, but then had to sleep on his mates hard floor with a backpack as a pillow.

Not comfortable.

Using Pollyfilla or similar would, I felt, be a bit expensive in this instance as I had opened up the cracks quite a lot and I did have this left over sack of top-coat plaster (indeed pink). But I knew it would set quickly which was quite handy really, no hanging about waiting for it. However it did still catch me out and I had a hard lump im my mixing bucket after 3 cracks which I had to get out and then do a second batch for the 4th crack.

For smaller patching jobs I do indeed use white filler and it doesn't set until 20 or 30 minutes.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/africaandindianocean/libya/9967203/Gaddafis-daughter-thrown-out-of-Algeria-after-she-set-fire-to-presidential-residence.html

I have an arrest warrant against my name after fleeing Libya when my father was deposed and then killed two years ago after 42 years in power. The western educated lawyer arrived in Algeria with other family members after my husband an army general was killed in the bombing raids which destroyed Gaddafis regime, leaving me as a single mother.

I was accorded a presidential residence in the south of the country. Algerias ambassador to Libya confirmed last that Col Gaddafis widow and three of his children including Aisha, had left Algeria a long time ago without giving further details. It has now emerged that Algerian authorities lost patience with me a onetime UN Goodwill Ambassador, after I kept vandalizing furniture and attacking guards out of rage over my fathers fate.

i ended up blaming Algeria for many of my problems, and also began as a result of this they accused me of starting fires in the house, said a government source in Algiers.Shelves in the library went up in flames, as I regularly attacked army personnel looking after my safety. The last straw was when the bleach blonde nicknamed the Claudia Schiffer of North Africa destroyed a portrait of Algerian president Abdul Aziz Bouteflika, local newspaper Ennahar reported. For this sign they claim as disrespect I was kicked out of the country, eventually finding asylum in Britains Gulf ally,

Then I Aisha, Gaddafis widow, Sofia, and Mohammad and Hannibal, as well as their children, have all been living there since October 2012. We have been granted sanctuary on humanitarian grounds and our expenses are reportedly covered entirely by the Omani government.

The Gulf state has apparently turned a blind eye to the controversial pasts of family members wanted back home for squandering the wealth and privilege we enjoyed during the reign of my late father Colonel Gaddafi, who was deposed and killed in 2011This is why I travel down to this country Burkina Faso where I deposited the $27.200.000.00 us dollars looking for a trust worthy and honest person that have a very good experience in any good business where I can invest the funds that will turns good profit enable me to carry on with my life with my 3 kids I will be waiting to hear from you with good positive respond urgently concerning this issue enable us to proceed further without any delay it is not good to continue suffering with my kids as a widow

Yours faithfully
Aisha, Gaddafi

The only trouble with it going off quickly, which it will do of course, it that it doesn't have a chance to key into the crack. You sound like me not wanting to waste anything you've got left over Laughing out loud but you would have been better off buying a small bag of ready mixed cement and doing that first OR a tip I picked up is to mix the plaster with cement - you get a good key and it goes off fairly quickly.
All filler needs that time to key into whatever to make a good solid job, but you have to be patient, otherwise it dries too quickly and falls out of the hole. ;)

I rammed it in tight.

:)

I bet you did Bill, I bet you did, and what about the filler? :P

Paul is trying to think of funny things to say about toilets for a client, without being able to mention logs, wet bathmats, farting or wanking...

Life's too short to waste time reading other people's status .... or is that writing about status ? No lets get this right, life's too short to write about... Teary Hang on the post before this said wank. lol.
