Not allowed by who, the Illuminati.

By the people who really control this world (it's not Obama, Cameron and Putin et al)

I've not bothered to read all that but isn't it written by one of his mates?

"My association with Woody is primarily a professional one, though we've remained friendly since the documentary"

I'm getting sick to death with these stories now :(

But, and I know I might make a few people mad saying this, but I think that the news do try their hardest to find these types of stories and now there are a lot of people out there who are attention seekers or money seekers or just liars jumping on the band wagon and trying it on.
There are lots and lots of allegations but never many actual convictions.
I'm not saying that these horrible things don't happen but do think there are a lot who just make it up and they're encouraged to by the news who seem to really love all this.

I find it utterly depressing and horrid and wish it would all f*ck off!

I'm avoiding reading any details, for the entirely selfish reason that I don't want some of my favourite films ruined for me forever.

:(
Was going to say that's the worst thing about all this but it's clearly not is it Laughing out loud >_<

But it does scare you who'll be next. I haven't seen any WA films but imagine if say Stephen Fry (for eg) was the next one on the news.... I think I would just give up at that point! With everything!

Lol, yeah, I think it would be time for us all to commit mass suicide at that point.

Spookily, I agree 100%. The media over the last few decades has been fantastic at exposing some of these scandals - Jimmy Savile, the various foster homes, etc. - but it's come at a price.

Because the news presents the world through a telescope, the fear filled headlines and subsequent paranoia have seeped into society. I'm now at the point that if a lost kid came up to me in the supermarket, I'd run a mile.

We've got so used to thinking that a paedo bogeyman is lurking behind every lamppost, that parents are keeping their children indoors, where they're getting fat and unfit and will die early. Which is a strange way to protect your children - by killing them.

But I think the real victims in this are the poor BBC editors - they have to continually erase from history any and all household names that were kiddy fiddlers. TOTP2, 100 Greatest Soap Characters, 50 Favourite Children's Shows, Glam Rock Britannia, etc. It will be as if the 1970s never happened as we Chairman Mao purge bygone celebrities from the collective consciousness.

And the Daily Mail has.

You really need to stop reading shitty articles from shitty sources and proclaiming it as the truth.

As it's starting to make you ressemble the BCG village idiot.

As it is it's a fascinating almost forensic article.

Which rather clearly makes the point that like a great many famous people, Allan is a very nasty piece of work under his media persona. And the accusation of paedophilia was a desperate gambit by Farrow to keep him away from his kids. Who he had emotionally abused by f**king their step/adoptive/whatever sister.

He didn't want to have sex with them, he didn't get how much he'd hurt them.

But he'll get a free pass even if the allegations are correct. Just like with Michael Jackson and Roman Polanski, artistic merit trumps all sins - even raping children - in the eyes of their fans.

Look at the differing fortunes of Chris Langham and Pete Townshend - both busted for having kiddy porn on their computers but Townshend is still popping up on programmes with nary a mention or dent in his reputation.

What a weird world.

Michael Jackson

Found innocent. :)

Roman Polanski was found guilty in abstentia and his continuing hiding out in France is another reason that whole country is going to hell.

I think if it's the US you're discussing their legal system permits anyone rich to usually dodge justice.

Didn't they let Paris Hilton off her jail time because she cried or something?

Taken in isolation that's a very reasonable sounding summing up of the facts as known...by that author.

yes, the prison service didnt want the bad publicity or getting sued and hers were quite minor convictions
