Absolute myth and something that only a gullible fool would believe. Your body can only process a certain amount of vitamin C. It's water soluble so the excess will be excreted. I'd spend the money you're wasting on excess satsuma's on some medical textbooks.
Well I was downing the vitamin C tablets with gusto to ward off the opresent cold, but all it's done is delay it - the symptoms are as bad as ususal.
plain old paracetamol seems to do the job

Paracetamol won't see off a cold. It has no anti-viral properties. It will however help manage symptoms.
Thats what I thought, I don't think there's much that can cure a virus
and if it's in the Daily Mail it must be true.
Viruses are difficult things to treat as they're essentially sneaky pieces of genetic code which aren't alive.
